Publishing rules
Last revised: September 25, 2026
These rules apply to every listing on Sichh - work, courses and services alike. We check listings before or after they go live; here is what we look at, so you know in advance why a listing may come back for changes.
A listing must be truthful
- The pay or price in the listing is what you actually offer. Do not quote a ceiling nobody reaches.
- What is offered is real work, a real course or a real service - not membership, multi-level marketing or buying goods. Nobody pays to take part in hiring.
- The listing is published by whoever provides the work, course or service. An employment agency may publish job listings only with a valid employment agency permit and must say plainly in the text that it is an agency.
- Offer a course or service that requires a trade licence or other authorisation only if you hold it.
- Contact details in the listing work and belong to whoever published it.
Discrimination: what the text must not contain
The Czech Employment Act and Anti-Discrimination Act forbid making an offer conditional on sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, age, race or ethnic origin, nationality, citizenship, language, health or disability, religion or belief, marital and family status, family responsibilities, political opinion or trade union membership. This covers wording that says the same thing indirectly, and courses and services as well.
- Instead of "looking for men", write the job title: "bricklayer", or "open to men and women".
- Instead of "under 40", write what you actually need: "5 years of experience", "work at height", "category B driving licence".
- Instead of "Czechs only", write the language or permit requirement: "Czech good enough for everyday communication", "valid permission to work in the Czech Republic".
- Marital status and children do not belong in a listing at all - neither as "single" nor as "no commitments".
Pay
State the pay or pay range in a job listing. The EU Pay Transparency Directive (2023/970) gives applicants the right to know the starting pay before the interview - and listings with pay get more responses anyway.
Do not ask applicants how much they earned in their current or previous job; the same directive prohibits it.
Language and documents
Requiring Czech is fine where the job genuinely needs it - write it as a language requirement, not a nationality one.
It is equally fine to require a valid residence and work permit, a trade certificate, a medical clearance or a criminal record certificate where the law or the nature of the work demands one.
What we will not publish at all
- Work without a contract, cash in hand and other ways around taxes and contributions.
- Work for people under 15 or who have not yet completed compulsory schooling, and work that minors are not allowed to do.
- Job listings where being hired depends on paying up front, a deposit, buying materials or paying for training yourself.
- Listings with no actual duties - "office work, high earnings".
- Sexual services, abusive or hateful listings, and anything that breaks the law.
- The same listing posted over and over to stay at the top of the catalogue. Paid promotion exists for that, and it is marked as sponsored in the catalogue.
Photos and text
- Photos should relate to the work, course, service or company. Publish photos of people only with their consent.
- Do not write whole sentences in capitals or rows of exclamation marks - it does not help in the catalogue, it only makes reading harder.
- Use other companies' logos and trade marks only if you have the right to.
How the check works
A person reads a company's first listing, and any listing in which the automatic check found something, before it goes live. Other listings from verified companies go live immediately and we check them afterwards - by spot checks and on reports. The Terms of use describe exactly when each route applies.
A listing that breaks the rules is sent back for changes, rejected or hidden; the reason arrives by email. You can disagree with the decision - the Terms of use explain how.
Repeated breaches can lead to the company page or the account being blocked.
